Microsoft has launched the Microsoft Office app for iOS and Android and it combines Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other productivity features into one application.

This app has all the functionality of the existing Word, Excel, and PowerPoint mobile apps, adding a number of mobile-oriented features but requires far less phone storage – it does need an Office 365 subscription though.

Unfortunately, there’s no iPad version at this time, so iPad users may wish to continue using the standalone apps on that platform.
